Acceptance of Terms of Use
When you become a Member at TheTableRDU, you agree to these Membership Terms and Conditions.
The terms of this Agreement are subject to change. If so, we will notify you of these changes. If you continue to use TheTableRDU after changes are implemented and you have been notified, your continued use of the site will be considered your acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility
In order to become a Member of TheTableRDU, you must be a woman living within these designated Triangle areas: Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Fuquay Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wakefield, Wendell, Youngsville.
Summary of Terms
Honesty and privacy are paramount at TheTableRDU.
When you use become a Member, you agree that:
- You understand TheTableRDU is a women’s community
- Your profile is accurate/truthful
- You will provide a headshot photo in your profile, and that photo is of you
- You are seeking or are open to new female acquaintances/friendships
You understand that the following behavior is prohibited:
- Bullying / name calling or any other behavior that is demeaning or harmful
- Creating / operating more than one profile
- Using the site for dating prospects/romantic purposes
- Disclosing revealing, private or defaming information about any Member to a third party (including other Members of TheTableRDU)
- Assuming a false identity and/or impersonating someone else
- Soliciting Members for money
The TableRDU will terminate your Member profile at any time and without notice to you, and may prohibit you from using the site again if:
- You conduct yourself on-line or in-person in a hateful, rude, aggressive or unbecoming manner. *Unbecoming behavior may include but is not limited to one or more instances of being a no-call-no-show event participant (as reported by hosts/event organizers).
- You violate any of the terms within this Agreement.
The TableRDU promotes a caring, kind and polite engagement between Members. Members are expected to report unkind, unethical or questionable behavior to The Table’s admin, either by direct message (DM), email ([email protected]), or using the online contact form.
The Services
- TheTableRDU includes a database of women in designated areas of the Triangle who are seeking or are open to new female acquaintances/friend(s)
- Any in-person meeting between Members is a free will arrangement and TheTableRDU is not liable for the outcome
- Members agree that best practices for in-person meetings include:
- Meeting in public
- Meeting during daylight hours
- Meeting with multiple Members (4+)
- Meeting with people who have a completed profile, including a headshot photo of themselves
- TheTableRDU does not promise satisfaction of its users, or that Members will make new friends
- Members have the right to terminate use/Membership at any time
The Cost
- While someone may join the community for free, Member dues must be paid in order for a Member to view the Member directory and/or create posts on the site
- Member dues are: $42 (annually) OR $7 (for 30-days)
- Once submitted, annual and/or monthly dues are non-refundable and non-transferrable, regardless of circumstance (this includes member inactivity/non-use, or relocation outside of the Triangle area/state of NC).
Limitation of Liability
You agree that all information you provide to TheTableRDU is truthful and accurate.
You understand that TheTableRDU does not conduct background checks. Hence, TheTableRDU is not privy to or responsible for the criminal record or history of other Members.
You agree to report any Member who behaves on-line or in-person in a questionable, belligerent, hostile or unbecoming way.
You agree that TheTableRDU is not responsible for the behavior of other Members or interactions you may have with another Member.
You agree that TheTableRDU will not settle or become involved in disputes between Members.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
You agree that TheTableRDU will store the personal information you submit to establish your Member account.
We agree to maintain your personal information on a secure server.
Privacy
You agree you have reviewed the Tutorial about Privacy and have asked questions regarding anything you do not understand about what information is accessible to the public or other Members.
Social Media and Photo Release
I understand that photos, videos, and other media may be taken during TheTableRDU activities for use on its website, social media, promotional materials, and other media platforms. By participating in these activities, I grant TheTableRDU and its affiliates the right to use, reproduce, and distribute any photographs, video recordings, or other media containing my likeness, without compensation or further notice to me. I waive any rights of privacy or publicity that I may have in connection with such use.
