Join us for cool conversation as we connect over casual fare! We’ll be at Raleigh Brewing (3709 Neil St. in Raleigh). This is near NCSU.
What:
-casual lunch
-“speed-friending” for 30 minutes
and for those who wish to participate in additional activities, there will also be a:
-baked-goods swap AND Blind-Date-With-a-Book activity
We’ll enjoy wraps & chips from Harris Teeter ($3 per person) as we mingle with one another (bring a side to share if you wish!).
Drinks (alcoholic and non) can be purchased at Raleigh Brewing.
After eating, we’ll transition into a time of “speed-friending.” (you can expect to talk in a thoughtful, 1-1 way, with a few different ladies).
If you wish to participate in the baked goods swap or blind-date-with-a-book:
Baked Goods Swap
Make cookies, cupcakes or something that can be cut into pieces. Bring a zip lock bag or small container to take sweet treats brought by others as they partake of yours!
Blind-Date-With-a-Book
Bring a new or gently used book (one you’ve read and enjoyed!) and wrap it in plain brown paper. On the front, write: Fiction/Non-fiction/genre. Then write 2-3 phrases, providing a general description of the book without revealing too much (do not provide the title!)! Keep the description brief and intriguing! New to this? Checkout this video for more context/information. (you do not have to make the wrapping fancy or provide additional gifts!).
